Beginning Stained Glass

Introduce yourself to a new craft! You will learn all the skills necessary to create your own stained glass project, using the copper foil technique. During the class, you will complete a small window panel. A choice of several patterns are provided during the first class.  No prior experience or artistry is required

Beginning SG class is a total of 8 hours of instruction.  The course is taught in 2 separate classes of 4 hours each unless otherwise noted on the class schedule.

 

 

Advanced Stained Glass

Continue your education in stained glass. During this class you will have the opportunity to create an elegant window with the Lead Came construction technique. Learn the complete lead came process, from basic construction and cementing to tips on design and reinforcement. Glass cutting and soldering skills are required.

Advanced SG class is a total of 10 hours of instruction.  The course is taught in 2 separate classes of 5 hours each, unless otherwise noted on the class schedule.

 

Lamp Construction

This is the ultimate stained glass project! Create an heirloom quality lamp in this Tiffany style reproduction class. Instruction includes preparation of lamp form, attaching glass to form, glass selection, etc. Glass cutting and soldering skills are required.

 Lamp class is a total of 12 hours of instruction.  The course is taught in 3 separate classes of 4 hours each, unless otherwise noted on the class schedule. 

 

Beginning Mosaics

This is a beginner level class for anyone wanting to learn the basics of mosaic.  You will learn how to make a beautiful mosaic from start to finish, using traditional techniques, step by step instructions and plenty of examples. 

Mosaic class is a total of 4 hours of instruction. The course is taught in 2 separate classes of 2 hours each, unless otherwise noted on the class schedule.

 

Mosaics and Light

This class is designed to show students how to take the traditional mosaic technique and combine it with stained glass to take advantage of its light transmission properties without having to foil and solder! These projects are truly beautiful. Students will be given a choice of patterns to work from. 

Mosaics and Light class is a total of 4 hours of instruction.  The course is taught in 2 separate classes of 2 hours each, unless otherwise noted on the class schedule.

All tools are provided during class use and are shared amongst students.  Students responsibility will include glass, metals and other materials.  Students will be advised at time of sign-on as to what the material requirements are for each class.
